Once our baby grows and begins the stage of introducing food, we have thousands of questions about their diet: How much do they have to eat and drink to be healthy? Why do not they eat fruit? What can I give them to gain weight? Or on the contrary, what should I remove if they are “chubby”? Why do not they want to taste new flavours? The more they eat, the better they grow?
In the consultation of child nutrition we will address nutritional education from the first stage of your baby’s life to adolescence, age when they start to worry a lot about their body image and go on diets without any control that can affect their development. The objective is to continue maintaining the good habits acquired and to mark new guidelines for their self-control.
Our nutritionist Irene del Río-Hortega, in her specialized consultation of child nutrition, will address, among others, the following aspects:
- How we should introduce food in babies older than 6 months.
- Know the “Baby Led Weaning” (BLW) method or complementary feeding self-regulated or directed by the baby.
- Know what foods should be in their daily diet and which ones should be avoided, how to cook them and offer healthy alternatives for both them and their environment.
We will also study if there is any allergy or food intolerance, disease or overweight or obesity through feeding.
All changes or new healthy habits acquired will be achieved taking into account the personal characteristics of each child, their tastes, their schedules, their activities, their moments of anxiety and environment, in order to obtain the best possible results and to make them last in adulthood.Request information
